Logistics Import Trade Compliance

We are looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to lead and secure our customs operations, mitigate legal and operational risks, and guarantee smooth international trade flows.

🔧 Your Responsibilities

• Compliance and Regulations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable import, export, and customs regulations.
• Monitor and interpret changes in trade laws, tariffs, and valuation processes.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
• Documentation and Operations
• Prepare, review, and maintain documentation for international shipments (commercial invoices, certificates of origin, Bill of Lading, customs declarations).
• Manage classification of goods (Taric) and valuation processes in line with customs requirements.
• Support logistics, procurement and legal teams with trade compliance needs.
• Audits and Risk Management
• Lead internal and external audits related to customs and trade compliance.
• Implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Provide advice on best practices and compliance requirements.
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to enhance trade compliance processes and systems.
• Participate in projects to strengthen efficiency and reduce risk in customs operations.

🎯 What You Bring

• Degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or International Trade.
• Licensed Customs Broker (Agente de Aduanas – AEAT).
• 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage and international trade operations.
• Deep knowledge of EU and international trade regulations (excise tax, tariffs, import/export).
• Hands-on experience with customs brokers, audits, and government agencies.
• Excellent skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and trade databases.
• Fluent Spanish and English (Chinese or other languages are a plus).
